What is the Buy a Day program?

It’s a way for community members to highlight a special date on the 2027 Albany Community Foundation calendar. Your chosen day appears directly on the printed calendar.

 

How much does it cost to Buy a Day?

Each day is a $100 donation to the Albany Community Foundation, supporting grants and programs that benefit the Albany community.

 

What can I write on my day?

Up to 20 characters, including spaces. Examples:
Sammy’s Bday
Lopez Anniversary
Margaret’s Day

 

How do I know if my day is available?

Submit your preferred date through our online form. We’ll confirm availability within 48 hours. If the date is already taken, we’ll let you know and help you choose another.

 

How do I submit a request?

Fill out the Buy a Day request form on our website. You’ll share your contact information, the date you want, and the short message you’d like printed.

 

When do I pay?

Only after we confirm your date is available. Once confirmed, we’ll email you a link to make your $100 donation.

 

Can I see which dates have already been purchased?

Yes. We keep an updated availability calendar on the site. Days marked in red are already taken. The calendar is updated regularly but not in real time.

 

Can I buy more than one day?

Yes. You’re welcome to purchase multiple dates.

 

Is my $100 donation tax deductible?

The Albany Community Foundation is a registered nonprofit. Donations may be tax deductible depending on your personal situation. Because the calendar includes a tangible benefit, please consult your tax advisor for guidance.

 

What if I need to change the wording on my day?

Changes can be made until we go to print. Email us as soon as possible and we’ll update it.

 

When will the 2027 calendar be available?

It will be released in late 2026. All Buy a Day participants will be notified when it’s ready.
